ईद मुबारक - एक कविता ( Eid Mubarak - A Poem )

ईद की शुभकामनाओं के साथ: 

                                 

हमको,                                                   

तुमको,
एक-दूसरे की बाहों में
बँध जाने की
ईद मुबारक।

बँधे-बँधे,
रह एक वृंत पर,
खोल-खोल कर प्रिय पंखुरियाँ
कमल-कमल-सा
खिल जाने की,
रूप-रंग से मुसकाने की
हमको,
तुमको                                   
ईद मुबारक।

और
जगत के
इस जीवन के
खारे पानी के सागर में
खिले कमल की नाव चलाने,
हँसी-खुशी से                                         

तर जाने की,
हमको,      
तुमको
ईद मुबारक।

और
समर के
उन शूरों को
अनुबुझ ज्वाला की आशीषें,
बाहर बिजली की आशीषें
और हमारे दिल से निकली-
सूरज, चाँद,
सितारों वाली
हमदर्दी की प्यारी प्यारी
ईद मुबारक।

हमको,
तुमको
सब को अपनी
मीठी-मीठी
ईद-मुबारक।

With the greetings of Eid :

For getting tied
In each other's arms
Greetings of Eid
To us
To you!

By remaining always united
On the same longer petiole ,
By opening the lovely flower petals 
For blooming
Like lotus
For smiling most colourfully
Greetings of Eid
To us
To you!.

And 
For coming across happily
This sea of 
Saline water
By rowing a boat 
Of bloomed lotus
In this life of the world
Greetings of Eid
To us
To you!

And
Good wishes of inextinguishable Flame
Good wishes of the outer thunderbolts

To such Brave soldiers

Of war
And of romantic Sympathy

Of Sun, Moon and Stars

Emerging from the inner core of our hearts
Eid Mubarak .

To us
To you
To all of us
The sweetest of sweet
Eid - Mubarak!

फिर छिड़ी रात, बात फूलों की.. ( Fir chidi raat baat phoolon ki )

       Fir chidi raat baat phoolon ki.. 

फिर छिड़ी रात, बात फूलों की

रात है या बारात फूलों की।

फूल के हार, फूल के गजरे
शाम फूलों की, रात फूलों की।

आपका साथ - साथ फूलों का
आपकी बात, बात फूलों की।


फूल खिलते रहेंगे दुनिया में
रोज़ निकलेगी बात फूलों की।  

नज़रें मिलती हैं, जाम मिलते हैं                

मिल रही है हयात फूलों की।   
   

ये महकती हुई ग़ज़ल 'मख़दूम'
जैसे सहरा में रात फूलों की।

शब्दार्थ : (1) हयात = जिंदगी, (2) सहरा = जंगल

लेकर उमंग संग चले थे हंसी-ख़ुशी (Lekar umang saath chale the hansi-khushi)

                (1) "लेकर उमंग संग चले थे हंसी-ख़ुशी     

            पहुचे नदी के घाट तो मेला उजड़ गया।"

                        (2) "बच्चे छलांग मार के आगे निकल गए

                रेले में फँस के बाप बिचारा बिछुड़ गया।"

Poet says that life is like a procession of statute- immersion. You start it with full enthusiasm, move ahead singing and dancing and when you reach the destination, the festivity goes away.    

In next ‘sher’, the poet depicts the picture of cut-throat competition using the same simile of statue-procession. He says that the new generation is much more manoeuvring than the earlier one. And, the old generation people find themselves lost in this age of cut-throat competition where your materialistic achievements matter more than your moral values.

"भागी नमाज़े- जुमा तो जाती नहीं है कुछ

चलता हूँ मैं भी टुक तो रहो, मैं नशे में हूँ। 

मस्ती से दरहमी है मेरी गुफ्तगू के बीच

जो चाहो तुम भी मुझको कहो, मैं नशे में हूँ।"

शब्दार्थ : (1) नमाज़े-जुमा = जुमे की नमाज़, (2) टुक = ज़रा सा, (3) दरहमी = अस्त -व्यस्तता, (4) गुफ्तगू = बातचीत

The poet says that being happy is more important than any rituals even though a religious one.  In other ‘sher’ he says that because of his inebriated state his attention is so much scattered that he would not mind if someone says anything objectionable to him. The pith of the ‘sher’ is that if you get a most-desired thing in life then you are able to bear a higher level of discomfiture. So, don’t suppress your usual desires if you want to make progress.
